Data Manager's Screen is Flashing, rolling or blank

Firstly ensure all power to the device is sound and tested.

If the device is within warranty (to check contact RDM support and quote the RDMSO number on the panel located under left wing) and the warranty seal is intact then please contact RDM support to be issued with a Customers Return number.

If the device is out of warranty then you can carry out a number of checks;

Check power supply
Try simply restarting the Data Manager
Power off the unit and disconnect the backup battery if fitted. Then power it on with the battery still disconnected.

Power off the unit, remove the wings and front console being careful not to pull out the internal ribbon cable connecting the screen to the main board of the DM. Make sure all connections of the ribbon cable and any wires going to the front console are secure. Connect the front console again and reinstate the power.

Power off the unit, remove the wings and front console being careful not to pull out the internal ribbon cable connecting the screen to the main board of the DM. If there is a Hard Disk installed on the unit it will be located at the top of the internal board connected by a ribbon cable. It will be a standard 2.5 inch HD. Ensure all connections are secure to and from the HD. Again reattach and power on the DM. If issue remains, remove the HD cable and reboot. If there is an SSD then ensure that is secured on to the disk on module by lightly pressing it onto the board.
